ASIA TOURISM NO 1

A  S  I  A

Asia , the world's largest continent, consists of a total of 47 states . Here live about four billion people , this is after all 60 percent of the entire world population - thus, of course, Asia is the most populous continent.
Asia is the largest and most populous continent in the world, located in the eastern and northern hemisphere. This continent covers 8.7% of the total surface area of the earth and consists of 30% of its land area. With around 4.3 billion people, there are 60% of the world's human population today. Asia has a high growth rate in the modern era. For example, during the 20th century, Asia's population nearly quadrupled.
The Asian and European continents are continents connected by land and both form a giant continent called Eurasia. The boundary between Asia and Europe is so vague that some countries like Turkey can sometimes be included in Asia or Europe. Some landscapes that are often used to separate the two continents are the Dardanella Strait, Marmara Sea, Bosporus Strait, Black Sea, Caucasus Mountains, Caspian Sea, Ural River (or Emba River), and Ural Mountains to Novaya Zemlya. In addition to being directly adjacent to the European Continent, the Asian Continent also has a direct border with the African Continent which has a land border and meets around the Suez Canal.
Given its size and diversity, the Asian concept - the name goes back to classical times - which actually might have more to do with human geography than physical geography. Asia is very diverse and within each region there are ethnic, cultural, environmental, economic, historical relations and government systems.
Asia is bordered by both the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. The most important mountain is the Urals ; this separates Asia from Europe - both continents together are often referred to as Eurasia. Asia, on the other hand, is separated from the continent of America by the Bering Strait , a strait. The most important and also the most famous lake of the country is the Aralsee , a salt lake, which is located in Central Asia. The largest and deepest fresh water lake in the world is Lake Baikal.

Also in Asia are the highest mountains on earth - the best known is probably the Himalayas . Here you can discover the highest peak in the world, the 8,848 meter high Mount Everest . The second highest mountain, the K2, is also located in Asia. Due to the infinite extent of this continent, there are many different climatic zones as well as a very diverse flora and fauna. North of the Arctic Circle, for example, you will find the treeless tundra - reindeer, for example, live here. In the taiga in turn live two particularly rare species: the Amurtiger and the Amurleopard.

But even desert landscapes are no rarity in Asia. The best known is the Gobi desert; here relatively high daytime temperatures prevail, while in Siberia it can be bitterly cold. For example, monsoon areas can be found in the Mekong Delta, and rainforests can also be found on this continent.
The best time to travel to Asia varies from country to country. Avoid the times when the monsoon is active. In most countries these are the months from June to October. Thailand in turn is to travel throughout the year. Asia has a very long history and has been the cradle of many cultures. Significant are the innumerable great empires of the country; Unlike Europe, Asia is not so fragmented. The most important religions are Buddhism and Islam. It is interesting that all the world religions that we know today originated in Asia. Even in Asia, the difference between rich and poor is sometimes enormous. On the one hand, there are the highly developed industrial nations such as China or Japan, while developing countries such as Vietnam, Georgia and Armenia are facing some extreme poverty.
There are countless interesting travel destinations and important buildings in Asia. One of the most imposing is certainly the Great Wall of China , arguably the most powerful structure in the world.
The entry requirements vary from country to country. For example, a tourist visa is required to enter China . this usually applies for a maximum period of 90 days. A valid passport is of course also essential; this should also be valid for six months after the end of travel. Incidentally, the security measures are particularly strict in Japan - here the fingerprints are taken in by the tourists on entry.
You should not forget the necessary vaccinations, which are necessary for a trip to Asia. The responsible family doctor can help here. Especially against hepatitis A and B as well as against malaria vaccinations are essential before traveling to Asia.
